Dr.
Adams is recognised as an expert in ergonomics and a
developer of World-class Safety-through-design program
that enabled a major manufacturer to reduce employee
injuries across all business units of the company. He
is the named inventor of two patents and has an additional
patent pending. He has published book chapters, jornal
articles, papers in conference proceedings, and technical
reports. Dr. Adams is leading the company's Safety Engineering
and Ergonomics Practice.
Paul
Adams is Manager of Safety Engineering and Ergonomics
for EnSafe Incorporated, an environmental and management
consulting firm. In this position, he is responsible
for developing and leading a nationwide consulting practice
in ergonomics and safety engineering. Prior to joining
EnSafe, Paul was Leader of Safety Engineering and Ergonomics
on the Corporate Environment, Health and Safety staff
at Owens Corning in Toledo, Ohio. He holds both Master
of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial and Operations
Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master
of Science in Industrial Safety from Central Missouri
State University, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering
from Iowa State. He is a Certified Safety Professional,
and serves as a Director on the Board of Certified Safety
Professionals. Paul is also a Certified Professional
Ergonomist and a Michigan licensed Professional Engineer.
Dr. Adams is a member of the Institute of Industrial
Engineers, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society,
the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the National
Society of Professional Engineers. A frequent conference
speaker, his curriculum vita lists numerous book chapters,
peer reviewed journal articles, technical reports, proceedings,
conference presentations and patents.
